Thank you to all students, parents, administrators, trainers, faculty, staff
and fans that helped make this season special. Thank you to the dedicated coaching staff who shared their time and enthusiasm
for teaching soccer and coaching young women. Congratulations to the student-athletes who completed an outstanding soccer
season 2012. The standard of excellence for Elizabeth High School Soccer continues at a new height.
I am especially proud of the academic achievements of the student-athletes
this fall. In addition to our many fine students and Academic All-State honorees, we must recognize all the student-athletes
that put in the extra effort to academically better themselves. First and foremost, each Elizabeth High student-athlete is
a student. Soccer at Elizabeth High School cannot be possible without
academic commitment.
While the teams in the program had great win-loss records and they enjoyed
their share of big victories and emotional defeats, the games of this past fall will eventually fade into fragmented memories.
In the end, the measures of success are not the statistics or wins, rather, they are the friendships, lessons and maturing
that are the result of effort, selfless commitment to the team and dedication to personal betterment. The student-athletes
of the 2010 Elizabeth High School Girls Soccer Program were truly successful. As coaches, we are fortunate to have been a
part of it.
As I look back, I can't help but to also look forward to fall 2012. I
am excited to see how the student-athletes of 2012 embrace the legacy of previous Elizabeth Girls Soccer teams.
